A trip to the perfect city of Thommaso Buzzi

Buzzi was a successful Milanese architect and interior designer, and was enchanted by the partially ruined site. He purchased it in 1957 and, subsequently, dedicated the rest of his life to the construction of his complex there. He restored what remained of the convent and built a large complex of buildings and theatres behind the convent mainly using stone from the convent ruins.

The Grand Tour of Italy – part 1 Napoli

We stayed in a comfortable B&B apartment in Via Posillipo 382 on the northern end of the Bay of Naples with a fabulous view of the bay and Mt Vesuvius in the distance. It was four metro stops from the central station (Mergalina) and a short taxi ride to the apartment. But what a view from the 6th floor! We had a local supermarket within a short walk and private access to the beach across the road.

The Qantas Dreamliner experience

We never thought we would be writing about a Qantas flight like this. Christine and I were on the inaugural Qantas Deamliner 787 flight to Perth from Rome on the 23/24 June after our trip to Todi for the commencement of art classes in Italy for Art Class Italy. The trip was a revelation.
