Art Class Description
In the last two decades of Henri Matisse’s life he turned to a few simple materials to realise a new medium, the cutout. With a pair of scissors & paper, as a dancer would upon a floor, he ‘swivelled’ & turned his blades to draw, cut & form a new artistic vision. This workshop seeks to share & enable this spirit of creativity to continue & grow - in you, the student.
Mikey Freedom will guide you through the process of creating your own cutouts, teaching you how to use line, shape, and colour to create art in dynamic ways. You'll learn how to create pieces that are both beautiful and meaningful, exploring new techniques and finding new artistic freedom along the way.
But our class isn't just about creating art - it's about enjoying the process and discovering the joy of this art form. Our classes are designed to be dynamic and engaging, filled with energy and excitement. You'll be able to explore & discover your untapped creativity while having fun and meeting new people and in the beautiful surrounds of the rural Umbrian countryside & town of Todi.
So if you're ready to take your artistic skills to the next level, being a novice or experienced artist, or even someone who’s never made art before - sign up for our cutout art class today. With our guidance and support, you'll be able to create art that is truly transformative, meaningful, and filled with purpose.
