Julianne Ross Allcorn
Art Class Description
This workshop is open to all levels of experience. Perfect for those that enjoys being extended and others to learn new techniques.
Julianne will focus on creating artworks in mixed media of pencil, watercolour/ acrylic paint, pen and ink either on birch wood panels or paper. Creating and developing an art journal; capturing the surrounding landscape, flora and fauna of Todi in regular ‘en plein air’ walks and then taking that information and inspiration into the studio to create larger more detailed artworks. Each artist will be encouraged to develop their style and interweave the different techniques of drawing, bringing to life the story of their daily art journal.
An art journal captures more than a series of photos, for when you stop and immerse yourself into your surrounds all the senses are awakened. You begin to draw what you see, not what you think you see and take notes …when revisiting your journal the information is remarkable, such a treasured trip down memory lane.
At the end of the workshop students will be encouraged to exhibit one or more artworks either for sale or not in an exhibition of the work by the whole class. Local artists and supporters of Art Class Italy will attend the exhibition with a commission payable on any sales to the local gallery.
