A ‘hassle free’ Art Holiday in Umbria
Local support staff provide expert assistance to participants to organise ‘hassle free’ transfers to Todi, accommodation and optional activities for companions through our “Concierge” service. It’s central location makes Todi the ideal base for exploring Umbria. It is close to all the smaller towns that are individually charming and historically engaging. Towns like Assisi, Spoleto, Foligno and Orvietto are all less than 50 minutes by car. Terni has the train station from Rome and Perugia, Umbria’s capital, has an airport. Both are 36 minutes by car from Todi. Rome is 1.5 hours by car.
Your Art Class Italy hosts
Art Class Italy is owned and operated by your “hosts” and its Directors Stephen Nall and Christine Lantas. Stephen and Christine have between them 30 years experience in art and design businesses, curating art exhibitions and art consulting. They are both motivated by a deep respect for artists and the effort they make in pursuing their careers, a love of Italy, its people and its culture and lifestyle.
In early 2019 they traveled to Todi in Umbria, to discuss with its civic leaders the setting up Art Class Italy, using Todi as a base. After meeting with the Mayor of the Commune di Todi, and other Councillors, they committed to the project with the full support of the town, its business community and a local Association dedicated to promoting contemporary art and cultural exchange – ArtEX.
Art Class Italy has engaged ArtEX to provide the Concierge services that will make your art holiday a memorable, and enjoyable experience. We hope to surpass your expectations!
An Authentic Cultural Exchange
The studio location in Todi centro (the old town) will offer each participant the opportunity for authentic cultural exchange with local Italian artists in an environment of great beauty and charm. Social occasions, both organised and spontaneous will stimulate and inspire students in a way that will become indelible memories. You will, most likely, make new friends and be inspired to new levels of creativity. Students will be warmly welcomed by the towns folk, its civic leaders and local artists.
